Respect for Intellectual Property

6ortal respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects creators on the Platform to do the same. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe an app on 6ortal infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice containing:

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
  • Identification of the app on 6ortal that you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it
  • Your contact information (address, phone number, email)
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf

Counter-Notification

If your app has been removed due to a DMCA notice and you believe this was in error, you may submit a counter-notification containing:

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the app that was removed
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the app was removed by mistake
  • Your name, address, and phone number, and a statement consenting to jurisdiction of the federal court in your district

Repeat Infringers

6ortal will terminate the accounts of creators who are found to be repeat infringers.
